New “Brick Search” Feature
This new feature allows you to find the brick number of a specific veterans bricks that have been installed in the central veterans’ plaza of the memorial. Just click on the “Brick Search” link and enter your veteran’s last name in the search box and the feature will display the brick number. The veterans’ bricks are installed in numerical, not alphabetical order and it will be easier to locate a specific veteran’s brick if you know the brick number when you visit the memorial. For more information on how to obtain a brick for your veteran, see the “Commemorative Bricks” section of our website.

I’m looking for a Major Allan Hopkins who was said to have been killed by Germans during World War II. I believe Allan was his second given name because I can’t find an Allan in the War. He was from Cook County, Illinois. I’ve been told Chicago. I’ve also looked at those killed and in prison camps, but can’t find him. Of course, his records were burned in the accidental fire in Missouri. He was in the Army Air Corp according to his wife. Any help appreciated. His daughter would like to find her family. Eleen
